Presentations
Eugene Reimer Middle School - Black History Month
A small cohort of students from Eugene Reimer Middle shared their experience with the live virtual Black Excellence Day event, what they learned about and discussed events that are happening at their school for Black History Month.
Dean Dahl - Run for Water
Dean Dahl, executive director of Run for Water provided a presentation about a running event held in Abbotsford, BC. The event attracts a wide range of participants and athletes and, at the same time, raises awareness – and funds – for people in the developing world who lack one of life’s basic necessities – clean water.
Education
Superintendent’s Annual Report on Progress
Superintendent Godden provided a high-level summary of the strategic plan progress reports. The information from this report forms the basis for the Board’s annual Measuring Up Report. A recommendation was put forward that the Board of Education approves the Superintendent’s Annual Report on Progress for the 2021/22 school year.

Local School Calendar for 2023-2024 - Notice of Intent
A recommendation was put forward THAT the Board of Education serve Notice of Intent that the 2023-24 Local School Calendar will be presented for debate and vote at a regular meeting of the Board on March 7, 2023.
Operations
Amended Annual Budget Bylaw 2022-2023
A recommendation was put forward that the Board of Education approve having all three readings of the 2022/2023 Amended Annual Budget Bylaw in this one meeting.
Student Transportation Services
Secretary-Treasurer Velestuk provided the Board of Education with an update regarding transportation and bus driver recruitment.
Winter Preparedness Plan
Secretary-Treasurer Velestuk presented on behalf of Dale Churchill, Director, of Facilities and Transportation to the Board of Education for information.
Archway Community Services – 2023 Golf Tournament
A recommendation was put forward that the Board of Education approve the amount of $500 representing hole sponsorship in support of the 2023 Archway Community Services Charity Golf Tournament.
Field Naming Committee Update
Trustee Wilson provided the Board of Education with an update on the progress of the field naming committee.
BCSTA Fraser Valley Branch Meeting
Trustee Wilson provided the Board of Education with an update on the BCSTA Fraser Valley branch meeting held at Irene Kelleher Totí:ltawtxw on January 30th, 2023.
