The Abbotsford Board of Education regularly meets throughout the school year. Agendas and minutes from the public Board Meetings can be accessed through the District's Electronic School Board. Below is a summary of highlights from the meeting.

Students and staff discussed the reinstatement of the WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) program at Colleen and Gordie Howe Middle School. The program, designed to enhance leadership skills among 8th graders, has successfully facilitated a smoother transition for 6th graders entering middle school. WEB Coordinators explained the significance and benefits of the program, while students shared personal experiences, highlighting how WEB positively influenced the start of their school year.
Auguston Traditional shared the two key goals that shape their educational approach. The first goal focuses on building a strong reading, writing, and math foundation through engaging and enjoyable literacy and numeracy experiences. The second goal emphasizes Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) by celebrating virtues like kindness, fostering meaningful connections, and creating a safe and welcoming space for staff and students. Staff and students highlighted aspects of their daily and weekly routines, showcasing the unique features that contribute to an exceptional learning environment at Auguston Traditional.
Andrea Senft, Manager of Childcare and Early Learning, shared highlights from the Back to School event held on August 28, 2024. Now in its fifth year, this event, hosted by the Abbotsford School District, supports families with elementary-aged children by providing essential school supplies.
Superintendent Nosek shared information about the King Charles III Coronation Medal, which was awarded to Deputy Superintendent Nathan Ngieng. This Canadian honour, established to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III, was launched by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada. The medal recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Canada and their home province, highlighting Ngieng's impactful work and dedication.
Superintendent Nosek provides a report that summarizes the efforts of staff to prepare classrooms for student attendance for September 2024.
A recommendation was put forward THAT the Board of Education approve the 2024 Framework for Enhancing Student Learning Report in compliance with the Ministry policy.
A recommendation was put forward THAT the Board of Education approve the Audited Consolidated Financial Statements for the fiscal year July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 and approve any and all interfund transfers.

A recommendation was put forward THAT the Board of Education approve Gold Level Sponsorship in the amount of $10,000, for upcoming Character Abbotsford events: Speaker Event in November; Champions Tour in January; and Character Action awards in May.
